Dear Mama Gooze,
I hear that you son has been slacking on keeping you updated with his Togolese life. Since, he tells me you're an avid reader of my blog, I thought I'd try to fill you in.
Here we have David and me and my dog, Dutch. This was back in December in Kara coming back from the Christmas Party.
Slightly more recent, we have David while he was on a hike with my village in the background. He said his village looks exactly like mine from the mountain, so you can pretend like that's him showing off his village.
He's been hiking alot, playing his guitar, working in the fields, and he lost 20 pounds. I hear he's also been doing pretty good with his soccer team (had I been to any of his games I would have posted some pictures for you). But, I think they've been winning and apparently lots of people like to cheer on the white boy. Work sounds like it's going pretty well in his village too. But he's having issues with the weather, and his cat. The weather, I understand, as it's hot season, and us without electricity suffer during this time. As for his cat, he kinda makes it sound like his cat's the devil. Anyways, I hope things are well for you. Lots of love from Togo.
Ruth
Dear Ruth,
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you! I enjoyed reading about David's adventures through your blogs as it sounds like you both are sharing the same experiences in your villages. Tell him to stay cool and stop being mean to the cat! I love reading your blogs so keep writing.
Best,
Mama Gooze
